Nizza Regional Wine Shop (Enoteca Regionale di Nizza)
The Enoteca Regionale di Nizza was founded in 1990 as a wine parlor in the form of an association formed by some municipalities in the Nizza Monferrato district.
The wine parlor quickly becomes the center of meeting and comparison of wine producers and the flywheel for the rebirth of Barbera d'Asti and the promotion of the territory.
Enoteca also promoted, in 1998, the creation of the Slow Food presidium of the “Cardo gobbo di Nizza” to enhance the characteristic vegetable grown in the alluvial sands of the Valle Belbo.
In 2006, it was recognized by the Regione Piemonte as a regional wine shop, then officially nominated by a notary deed on March 19, 2007.
In the Enoteca cellar there are more than 600 labels of prestigious wines from local producers, most of Barbera d'Asti d.o.c.g.
The rooms of the wine shop are used for wine sales, guided tastings and educational workshops dedicated to the combination of wine and food.
