Memorial plaque of Jewish Ghetto

Address: Piazza Martiri di Alessandria, 14049 Nizza Monferrato AT, Italia

From 1732 to 1848, Nizza hosted the Nicese Jewish Community composed of nineteen families forced to live in the Ghetto by Royal Decree.

The Ghetto was closed every day, from sunset to sunrise, and on holidays at the time of the Holy Functions.

Nizza does not forget the Bedarida, Debenedetti, Fabiani, Fea, Levi, Piazza families and all the countless victims of persecution suffered over the centuries until the “shoa” perpetuated by Nazism during the Second World War.

The plaque was affixed in 2005.
